Yes, I can imagine that!

Looks like they're developing their own art-form. I wonder if they do that in the wild, or whether it's just a response to being bored and not having enough toys?-

Dolphins are remarkably intelligent animals. I suspect they may have adapted the bubble-blowing techniques used by other cetaceans, humpbacked whales for example, to surround their prey in an effort to amuse themselves.

Yes, I wondered about that. Do you have them around your local coast? We mostly have seals along the North Nofolk beaches and sandbars.

Porpoises seem to more common here, although there have been dolphins living in and around the harbour at Aberystwyth for some years.
We have seals here too; grey seals breed along the south west coast.

Fascinating. It seems to be some sort of play, but I wonder if there is some survival benefit to having that skill.

I suppose it might confuse predators or rivals. Perhaps it's a substitute for engagement and wedding rings.

Wonderful...
Looks to me like play rather than anything to do with survival...the more intelligent the creature, the more play is involved...GBHs...XXX

They obviously need a decent pipe and a plug of St Bruno... just think of the wonderful smoke rings they'd produce.
