  I remember these from books I had growing up in the sixties, they really fired my imagination

    Yes, I remember being given 'Target for Tonight' around then or maybe it was earlier, sometime in the 1950s. That was a book full of great Bonestell illustrations of planets and rocket-ships. His photo-realism was most inspiring.
