This is a picture of a restored Hancock steam omnibus from the collection of the late Fred Dibnah. One of these, converted into a caravan, appears in today's episode of The MARDLINGHAM Saga:

Enterprise was the first reliable horseless carriage steam vehicle in the world. In 1833 it bus serviced London for 7 months carried 12,000 paying passengers and not one accident.
For its time in history it was truley the space shuttle of its day.Hancock steam carriages were invented developed and perfected by Walter Hancock 60 years before Carl Benz or Gotlieb Daimler tinkered with horseless carriages. Its a shame
the replica is now used for a caravan.why are the English so hard on themselves?

Good old Fred: a real British eccentric!

Nice bus BTW.
